Virtual Headshots – for individuals and international businesses
Virtual Headshots are $150 + GST and use FaceTime. Sessions run for 15 minutes and you receive an edited headshot with alternate background, so don’t worry too much about your surroundings.

Whilst nothing compares to a headshot session with us in person, for those in lockdown, self isolation or even remote teams, the next best thing we can offer is a Virtual headshot.
We thought it was crazy too until we tried it and were actually quite surprised at the outcome.
The below were taken with an iPhone XR via FaceTime chat. Almost unbelievable right!
Why we’re doing this
Okay, so lockdown isn’t great but it’s even worse if you’re applying for new jobs, working more online or trying to build networks and have a bad or outdated headshot to represent you.
We feel that a well-crafted professional headshot is one of the best investments you can make for your personal brand and we’re going to do whatever we can to help you through this challenging period of our lives.
Besides, we also recognise the power of doing something nice for people, especially in depressing times and so are offering these free if you’ve been made redundant in 2021.
How?
We will call you via FaceTime for a 20 minute headshot session where we’ll guide you through the best parts of your home (or surrounds) and take a range of portraits with our specialist direction and your camera.
Simples!
(We’ll even show you how to make a selfie stick from things you can easily find in your home).
“But if you’re using my phone, can’t I just take this myself?”
You can absolutely take this yourself. If you have nothing better to do we’d actually recommend it. Upping your personal selfie game is probably a skill that will serve you well in the future.

80% of the quality of a headshot is in the lighting and the direction from the photographer. We’re not saying that the camera and lens configuration isn’t important but whilst this option isn’t available to us, we can make the most of what we’ve got.
For LinkedIn and Zoom you don’t need much resolution at all, so having someone give you concise direction on how to angle and best pose your face is a very big part of the puzzle.

A bit of fun, doing something out of the ordinary. We don’t take things too seriously so it helps if you’re also open to have fun and enjoy the process.
We should start off by saying that a headshot taken on your selfie camera at home using only the available light will have limitations so it will never compare to one taken in person in a controlled environment (i.e. a studio) with the best quality equipment available on the market.
However, it should still be good enough to give you a professional image that represents you well.
The image sizing will be acceptable for LinkedIn and other social profiles including Zoom but not for print, media or team pages.
There isn’t much Photoshop can’t do and we will be using Adobe Photoshop to edit your image. We still want you to look like you but a light retouch will ensure you look like you at your best.
We also have the option to change backgrounds in Adobe Photoshop so you don’t have to worry if you can’t find a plain wall or an outside area.
Who is this for:
Anyone without a Linkedin headshot! (yes, these people still exist). The article by Linkedin Trainer Steve Bruce, says you can increase your Linkedin profile views by 14 times, just from having a profile image that represents you well professionally.
Anyone with one of the following headshot faux-pas’ :
- Cropped in headshot from a group shot
- Selfie
- Headshot of yourself on a night out or at the races
- Headshot/mugshot using your webcam
Who this may not be for:
- Someone with a headshot that they are happy with that’s been taken professionally.
- Someone with a professional headshot already, taken by a professional photographer.
- Someone who needs the finest headshot money can buy (if this is the case you’ll need to wait till we reopen)
